Danna’s English Blog

 So today we got to present our jamboards!!!!. But it was only like 4 or 5 people because not everyone finished theirs. I was nervous but super scared at the same time nervous because I hate public speaking. me as a person I do talk alot but when it comes to me being infront of an audience and having to speak while the room is quiet really scares me. I was excited about it though because I was proud of my work and i really like the way it turned out and was organized well. 

 today in class we just worked on our jamboards for our orgin myth. I had to finish my orgin myth yesterday in class because i was busy all weekend but then i got to working on my jamboard. Jamboard is a google site that allows you to make like collage type of things. My collage was floral and it was really pretty I liked it alot. And then the end of class came but i had enough time to finish it so i didnt have to do it for homework. 

 Today in class we mainly just went over drills. Just lockdown drills though and Mr. Reese gave us a very interesting and fun assignment that had to do with us knowing ourselves. I really enjoyed this assignment because it really made me think about if I really know who Danna is. So for the assignment we had to write 4 things that showed or represented who we really are. Im thankful for Mr. Reese for giving us this assignment because to other people its just another dumb assignment but to me it really meant something.

  Today we did a very fun activity And we drew pictures to depict what thoughts we can draw on paper to make us understand the text more. And first I really enjoyed it because I love drawing in a way its therapy for me. Second reason is because I really love reading and also find it therapeutic. In my opinion i say we do activities like this one more because it helps at least me comprehend the text more.

Today we read about a house that two friends went to to skip school. And with this text we were basically saying it was really a story. All it gave us was a plot but with no climax or rising action. You would think that the rising action would be the kids skipping school but they didn't even get caught. So we talked about what parts of the story would help someone rob the house because one of the friends were rich. 

 My name is Danna Almario and I am a junior at Lakeside Highschool. My expectations for this class this year is to pass first and learn interesting things I didn’t know before. I want to learn more about literature and the history behind it because I really enjoy history its one of my favorite subjects. I'd also like to improve my grammar and I really think this class would help me excel in that. Another thing I enjoy is reading so I also look forward to reading in this class.
